Oh my god I can't believe I watched "Tokyo Story" twice.
I know it's a classic movie and I know that it captures the modernity of postwar Japan and I know it's got lots of messages about family and taking care of your parents and social structures in Japanese society but it's so long and draggy and it's basically a slice of life anime without even the cute girls and oh man I can't believe I spent another three hours of my life on it ahhhhh.
It was in black and white; I'm sure the one we watched at Yale was recoloured.
Three hours oh my god.
